Water news for West Texas

This is a good link to get a picture of the water levels in our lakes and rivers.

Travis is so low we have islands forming vegitation on them.

Lake Spence is also very low, and they supply us with most of our water.

Lake Buchanan is also at risk:

Size: 22,335 acres
Maximum Depth: 132 feet
Lake Level Elevation when Full: 1020′
Water Level Fluctuation: Considerable
Average Historical Lake Elevation: 1012′

Another view of Travis Lake.

Still ‘wanna’ water the street, or use 5 gallons of blue gold to flush a kleenex down the toilet? Letting the water run while you brush your teeth?

Re-think your habits:This is serious.
